About United Therapies
Over three decades ago in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, United Therapies pioneered one of the very first lithotripsy procedures. Since then, lithotripsy has become the standard of care for kidney stones, and United Therapies defines the standard for delivering that care. In fact, each United Therapies’ technologist now treats more than 300 kidney stones annually, with one of the lowest retreatment rates in the country.
After introducing BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia or enlarged prostate) treatment in 2005, United Therapies’ offerings expanded in 2009 to include state-of-the-art surgical laser equipment. United Therapies’ innovative solutions can now be found in more than 350 healthcare facilities across the country, as well as four dedicated Urology Centers in Illinois and New Mexico where more than 7,500 laser treatments are performed annually.
But beyond the numbers, United Therapies is committed to helping patients regain their health and improve their quality of life. Our experience and dedication to continuous practical innovation has contributed directly to improving lithotripsy procedural methodologies and success rates. We’re committed to discovering new and better ways to support healthcare facilities, physicians and patients alike.
United Therapies is proud to have earned accreditation by the Joint Commission – recognition of our dedication to patient safety and quality of care.
